Part-time Bookkeeper Position
The Music Center in Battle Creek, Mich. is hiring a part-time bookkeeper to assist the finance manager in general bookkeeping duties at the Battle Creek office, located on the campus of Kellogg Community College. This position is 10 hours/week, with flexibility of hours/days. Duties include balancing and maintaining accurate ledgers including proper classification of income, expenses, and grants; accounts payable and receivable; payroll; preparing quarterly and monthly tax returns; creating monthly cash flow reports and financials; reconciling bank accounts; managing financial aid/scholarship program; and maintaining financial aid/scholarship records.
The successful candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or working toward a degree; two years of practical bookkeeping experience, preferably in a non-profit environment; and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
